S+C | Effortless + Elevated Courthouse Wedding | St. Paul, Minnesota

While I’m always a sucker for weddings and elopements at the Saint Paul City Hall (easily one of the most gorgeous Art Deco buildings in Minnesota), there is just something extra extra special about being given the opportunity to cover a tiny wedding day in its’ entirety. We started the morning together in a studio space, alongside family members, proceeded to their private vow reading at City Hall, then strolled about the beautiful Rice Park for portraits.

Saint Paul has a lot of perks for weddings, no matter the size, but one of my favorites has to be the sheer abundance of photo opportunities in/around this park! We took photos in front of the fountain, under the arches of The Landmark Center, and even in front of the library - all within a three block distance of the courthouse!

Finally, we gathered at the city hall for a small and lovely wedding ceremony by a judge — followed by a grand exit from city hall, with even more friends and family waiting for them outside!

Last but not least, we went to a favorite nearby restaurant, The Emerald Lounge, to celebrate with the rest of their loved ones.
