TLDR:

I’m all about telling an un-boring version of your favorite day.

I’m fascinated with how every event feels unique, alive, and filled with its own vibrant personality.

The personality of a wedding is intangible - but I love trying to show it regardless. How do you photograph energy? How do you show the joy of being surrounded by loved ones, the giddiness of being almost-married, the relief when you change out of your heels at the end of the night?

You just have to enjoy the art of paying attention to people.

I show up to every event with a playful attitude, plenty of snacks, and some serious optimism. Weddings and events aren’t always perfect, but I’ll be damned if I don’t show up with rose tinted glasses anyway (don’t worry— I’ll bring a second pair to share with you).

((metaphorically))

“You have so much passion for this work that it’s almost annoying. I love it!”

— A very well-meaning wedding guest

Other stuff about me

  • — I graduated with a Studio Art major and a minor in Organic Chemistry. My main goal was to work in museums as an art conservator - to combine my experimental nature with the art world (see where this is going?)

    — And I did! ...Kinda. I was lucky enough to work in a museum for 4 years, in both Conservation and Registration. But if we're being honest, being around artwork every single day actually just made me want to create something.

    — I couldn't stop working on my own art! I spent my time learning everything I could about photography and illustration (my other love). Through this, I started getting more and more conceptual with my personal photography, started shooting for others, and, well... the rest is history!

  • 1. Because I'm a freaking SAP. Always have been, always will be (but please don't tell anyone). I'm a total sucker for human connection, and there's just a special way this type of energy comes out at weddings.

    2. Chaos (the good kind). I like that each wedding has its own special and unpredictable personality. Part of the absolute joy of wedding photography is getting to witness (and retell) the unique parts of the day.

  • — I play trombone! It's super dorky and I love it.

    — I drink a stupid amount of hot chocolate, year round. Occasionally I take breaks in favor of Chai or Tazo Glazed Lemon Loaf Tea (which everyone should try). I even have a large container with a custom mix.

    — I actively collect (and use!) vintage stamps. I have a Stamp Guy (his name is Patrick).

    — The 2005 version of “Pride & Prejudice” is my absolute favorite movie of all time. I could talk about it forever and I’ve definitely seen it too many times.

    — My husband and I met in a college Vaudeville show (kinda like improv, but somehow worse)! We even learned to juggle together! Needless to say, I've become really good at going with the flow and never taking myself too seriously.

  • It’s a tie!

    1. Oui Yogurt lid (it gets the job done)

    2. Earrings! I actually do this a LOT — and if we work together, there is a good chance you’ll see me break out my “work accessories” for a curated set of effects. I love them.
